Fantastic review of The Employees, what a timely literary exploration this book is — adding to my to read list for sure. Also — love the short book summer theme. One non-sci-fi workplace novella I always recommend is "Everyday Life" by Lydie Salvayre (translation by Jane Kuntz). Great, quick read.
I've been reading more nonfiction on AI just to understand it more, and it's always fun to pair those readings with fictional worlds of AI. This sounds like a great exploration of possibilities, and it's amazing what fiction can do to explore the possibilities of unethical uses and technology advancements. I look forward to coming back to this post once I've read it (this sounds up my alley) and understanding the sculpture work more deeply!
Great review! Thanks also for explaining the connection between the sculptures and the book!
The Employees is now on my To Read list 👍
